Setting up your canvas in Repaper Studio: orientation, layout, and paper choices

Updated over a week ago

In this article, we'll walk you through the basics of canvas settings and the various paper templates in the Repaper Studio App.

Canvas Settings

Canvas Orientation: Portrait & Landscape

When using the Repaper Studio App on a computer, you can easily switch the canvas orientation between portrait and landscape by using the orientation button in the top menu.

👀 Important: In the mobile version of the Repaper Studio App, the canvas orientation is fixed in portrait mode and cannot be changed.

For ISKN tablet users:

On your iskn tablet, you can choose the orientation as follows:

  • Portrait Mode: The buttons will be located at the top of your tablet.

  • Landscape Mode: The buttons will be located on the left side.

If you’re using Repaper with other software on your computer, canvas orientation is fixed in landscape mode to best fit your screen dimensions. Portrait orientation is not supported in this case.

Show or Hide Tools and Layers

Easily toggle the toolbar and layer management on or off for a cleaner workspace. Just go to the menu bar at the top and click on Tools or Layers to customize your layout as needed.

Move the Toolbar

On a computer, the toolbar is located at the bottom of the screen. You can also move it to the side by clicking the small point in the top left corner.

Paper Templates

Repaper Studio offers you a variety of paper templates to create different backgrounds in type, grain, and color.

To select a template, click the "Paper" icon on the far right of your screen. Scroll through the options to visualize the templates in real-time. Click on a template to select it. You can change the on-screen paper anytime and as often as you like.

👀 Good to know: To export your drawings with a transparent background, select the transparent paper template and export your drawing as a PNG file.
