The Repaper Studio App offers you numerous drawing functions in order to draw & create with Repaper and see your creation come to life on screen.
In addition to that, you can use Repaper along with various raster and vector graphics programs to create & enhance your Repaper drawings.
Follow the steps below to use Repaper along with your favorite drawing software:
Download and install the Windows or macOS version of Repaper Studio.
Open the app.
Connect Repaper to Repaper Studio on your computer.
Open your favorite software program.
You're ready to draw!

Find below a non exhaustive selection of compatible painting software programs and how to obtain the best results with Repaper.
Adobe Photoshop
Adobe Photoshop is an imaging and graphic design software developed and published by Adobe Inc. for Windows and macOS.
It offers multiple features for editing and manipulating images, or creating and enhancing drawings.
Repaper is detected automatically as graphics tablet in Photoshop: you can use the Repaper Stylus to select drawing functions and draw & create right from the start.
🖌️ For an optimal pressure rendering result, please make sure to activate the pressure option on the top right in Photoshop. You may also wanna check the pen pressure in the brush settings > Shape Dynamics:
Adobe Illustrator
Adobe Illustrator is a professional vector-based design and drawing software for PC and Mac. Illustrator allows for the creation of everything from single design elements to entire compositions. Designers use Illustrator to create posters, symbols, logos, patterns, icons, etc.
Illustrator works off vectors, which is why the quality of artwork is independent of the resolution at which it is displayed. This means that an image created in Illustrator can be enlarged or reduced without sacrificing image quality.
Repaper is detected automatically as graphics tablet in Illustrator.
You can create new drawings or finalize your Repaper drawings in Illustrator.
For finalizing your Repaper drawing in Illustrator, export your drawing in SVG from Repaper Studio and open it in Illustrator.
In case of complex artwork, we recommend to use the Simplify path feature in Illustrator in order to remove unnecessary anchor points.

Krita
Krita is a professional free and open source painting program, designed primarily for digital painting and 2D animation. You can use Krita along with Repaper on your PC Windows or Mac.
🖌️ When drawing with Repaper & Krita, there may be some issues regarding pressure rendering and drawing accuracy. These issues can be solved easily by changing the tablet settings in the Krita settings > Configure Krita:
🐛 No pressure rendering on PC Windows
If you use a PC Windows, and the pressure exerted on your drawing tool is not detected, you may wanna change the tablet input in the Krita tablet settings. When using a PC Windows 10 & Windows Ink enabled, you should use the tablet input "Windows 8+ Pointer input".
🐛 Inaccurate strokes
If your drawing result is similar to the one above, you will need to adjust the pressure curve in Krita. In general, you will obtain better results by lowering high pressure:
🐛 Drawing's transparency
If your drawing is transparent, your pressure curve may not be constant. Please restore the default pressure settings in the tablet settings, so that your curve looks as displayed below:
Clip Studio Paint
Clip Studio Paint is a digital painting program that is ideal for rendering and inking. It has many tools and custom brushes that allow you to paint and render any type of illustrations you want.
The use with Repaper is very easy, just make sure to configure Repaper as PC tablet. For doing so, click on File > Settings, then select Tablet > Using tablet service > Tablet PC:
Sketchbook
Sketchbook is a raster graphics software with a main focus on sketching, painting and creating artwork easily.
The app includes a wide range of drawing and painting tools: brushes, colors, textures, gradients, layers, blending modes...
Sketchbook also provides some more specialized tools, as for example guides and rulers, transformation tools, easy gradiation and a separate "Flipbook" animation mode.
Repaper is detected automatically as graphics tablet in Sketchbook.
🖌️ Pressure sensitivity is set by default in Sketchbook. If you’d like to adjust your Repaper’s pressure sensitivity, you have two options to do so:
Click on “Edit > Stylus Responsiveness…” to set the pressure sensitivity.
Create a new brush in Sketchbook and set size, opacity and flow with light and heavy pressure. For creating a new brush, open the brush library, then click on the basics: a dotted cercle with additional options will appear on the top right. Press & hold to select the “New brush” tool.
🚩 Please note that it is not possible to use the Sketchbook mobile version along with Repaper.
Rebelle
Rebelle is a unique, true watercolor and acrylic painting program developed by Escape Motions. The program is easy to use and delivers realistic-looking results, especially when rendering watercolors, acrylics, ink and pastels - all on natural-looking painting backgrounds.
Features we especially appreciate in Rebelle:
The wide range of brushes for creating different painting techniques.
The predefined color palettes for pastel colors, oil paints, ink colors....
The video function, allowing you to save a video of your drawing, as it is possible in Repaper Studio. (available since Rebelle 5)
💡 You'll find this feature under Window > Record Time-Lapse.
The tablet mode for hiding menus and features in Rebelle, thus enlarging the drawing zone on the screen.
💡 You can enable / disable the tablet mode by pressing the tab key on your keyboard.
🖌️ Repaper is automatically detected as a graphics tablet in Rebelle.
Still, we recommend to check the graphics tablet settings and especially the touchpad sensitivity in Rebelle:
Click Edit > Preferences and then select the Tablet menu.
Make sure that the touchpad sensitivity is above 30%.
💡 We have achieved very good results with a sensitivity of 40%.
For all other settings, Rebelle's default settings are very suitable, but of course you can adjust them to your painting style.
